Nail art tutorial - Starfish

Hello everybody, I've got into a habit of doing a bit of nail art every Friday so guess what I did yesterday! I thought these nails were just really cute a summery and really easy to do.

 1. First paint your nails mint green, I used models own apple pie

2. Then paint a couple of orange dots on each nail then using a dotting tool drag out the sot so its a star. If you don't have a dotting tool use the end of a hair grip.

3. Then using a white nail varnish paint white dots on the star using a smaller dotting tool or a cocktail stick

Now your done, how easy was that!

Hope you enjoyed and have a go at it!
See you soon

Nail art Tutorial - Dip Dye Triangle

Hello everybody, its been a while since I've last done a blog post as I've been busy with a lot of homework (a lot more than I usually get)

So today I thought that I would do another nail art tutorial today as I love doing them as there really fun to do. I'm not sure if this has a proper name or if its just a dip dye triangle which makes no sense un till you have seen the picture!

1. Paint your nails any colour you like, I've used Barry M in shade mint green
2. Using a ripped sponge (Make sure its ripped because it doesn't work as well when its just cut with scissors) paint it a different colour and dab it on in the middle of the nail then if you want to using another ripped sponge paint it the first colour you used to neaten it up. But don't worry about it being neat.
3. Using a another different colour (I used a MUA nail polish in shade frozen yogurt) paint another ripped sponge and dap it on the top of the nail
4. Finally using a black nail striper paint two lines going diagonally from the top centre and then fill it in.

You can use one ripped sponge instead of three if you want and just use different sides of it. You can get huge packs of makeup sponges for really cheap prices from superdrug or bodycare and places like that.

See you soon!

Colours of the rainbow tag

If you haven't heard of the colours of the rainbow tag already it is basically going through the colours of the rainbow and choosing something you have and love that colour. I know it is a youtube thing but I don't have a youtube channel so this was the only thing I could do it on and I haven't been tagged by anyone to do it as I am a bit of a loner in the blogging world but it looked really fun to do so I'm doing it anyway!

Red

Barry M - Blood Orange - £3.99
So as you know the first colour is red and I have chosen my Barry M Gelly hi-shine nail varnish is the shade blood orange. Even though its called orange I think it looks more like a red but sorry if I'm wrong. This nail varnish is nice for anytime of year and it lasts for ages.

Orange

The Body shop - Born lippy - Satsuma Shimmer - £2
For orange I have chosen my body shop lip balm. I got this for as a present but I love it so much. Like all body shop products this smells amazing and it has tiny little shimmers in it so it looks great on.

Yellow

Clean and clear - Morning energy - £2-3

So this is actually my sisters but I use it sometimes and I cant get other how great this is. First of all it smells of papaya and fruit like that, second it wakes me up so much in the morning (maybe why its called morning energy) and third it leaves my skin feeling super smooth. I was unsure of the price but it is not expensive and we got it in Tesco.

Green

Vaseline - Aloe vera - £1.99
I wasn't sure what to do for green but then I remembered my good old Vaseline. This is a life saver for dry and cracked lips! I'm sure most of you have tried it but if you haven't I think you should go down to boots or superdrug straight away and buy some.

Blue

Lush - Rub rub rub shower scrub - Full size pot £7.95

This isn't a full size pot and I wish I did have the full size pot because like all of these products I love it. It smells really fresh and leaves my skin feeling so good.

Indigo
Miss Sporty - I'm unsure of the colour - £1.99

I know your all thinking that isn't indigo but it looks more indigoish (making up words now) in real life and its the closest thing I have to indigo as I had no idea what to do for this. I love wearing this colour in summer (and winter) but I actually have no idea what this colour is called as it doesn't say anywhere on the bottle so Im really sorry.

Violet

Yves Rocher France - So Elixir purple - full size bottle £44
I Got this perfume in my glossy box and I've mentioned it before when I did my glossy box review. It smells super nice and I think the bottle is really cute.

Pink

Collection - Cream puff - Cotton Candy - £2.99
I have never considered pink as being in the rainbow but it has been in all the colours of the rainbow videos I have seen so I decided to do it as I have so many pink things! As I said I could have chosen a million things to do for this but I choose my cream puff. Its basically and liquid lipstick. The colour is beautiful and its smells really nice and sweet. The bad thing about it is that it is really drying but apart from that I love it.

So that's it! I think you've discovered that I like products that smell nice. If you do a rainbow tag please tell me by commenting or telling me on Instagram. Hope you enjoyed.

My nails today

Hello everybody, as its half term  this week I've had more time to do more blog posts! While I was in Tesco the other day I got a really nice nails inc nail varnish from a magazine called in style. I had never heard of this magazine before but I saw the nail varnish and me being me bought it. Luckily it was a very good magazine and it reminded me of Vogue of Elle. The magazine was about £3.50 which I think is quite good as it came with a really good nail varnish. They had three colours to choose from but I went with the peachy colour because I don't have a nail varnish like this. I only painted them last night but it hasn't chipped at all and I only needed one coat of it on my nails.

I really recommend getting this as the magazine is really good and so is the nail varnish!

May Beauty favourites

Hello everybody, seeing as it is the end of May its time to do my favourites! This is the first time I've done a favourites post so some of these a have been my favourites for a while now. I love reading people's monthly favourites so I hope you enjoy reading mine!

Benefit - They're real mascara - £19.50

So the first thing on my favourites list is the "They're real" Benefits mascara. I got this for my birthday a few months ago and I have worn this nearly everyday since! It isn't clumpy and is really easy to use. The wand is quite small but makes your eye lashes really long. I think the wand is made of plastic which is good because I prefer that to the natural wands (not to sure what there called) as I always find that they go clumpy. This is also the number 1 selling mascara in UK (or was) and I can really see why. It is quite expensive and I wouldn't have got this if it wasn't my birthday. I know they sell mini bottles in boots for about £9 and at the moment they have the mini bottle in Elle magazine.

Rimmel - BB cream - £4.99 - Shade light
I've really been loving the Rimmel BB cream this month. The texture of it is very nice and goes on really easily. It also has a matte finish and a SPF of 25 which is very good as well. It has good coverage and  I wear it on school days when I don't have as much time and on lazy days when I'm not doing much. Me being me when I bought this forgot to look at what shade it was but luckily I got the right one! I really recommend this as its really good and not to expensive either.

Real techniques - Buffing brush - Core collection kit - $18 (I think its about £21)

Words cant describe how much I love this brush but I'll have a go. I use it for powder and its amazing for that, but I've also used it for foundation a couple of times as well and its really good for that. It is so soft and really nice to use. It comes in the core collection set and is quite expensive but I got the set on Amazon for about £14. However I noticed it has gone up in price since then but its still cheaper that getting it from boots or superdrug.

Sinful colours - Island coral and pistache - £1.99
I got these a couple weeks ago in boots as I'd heard really good things about them on instagram. I think there new to UK but I'm so glad they do sell them in UK. They are so good and last for ages without chipping. There really nice and summery and I will definitely be purchasing more as they are so cheap as well! However They only bad thing is that the pistache is quite strong so it dyed my nails a bit, so wear a base coat underneath them.

MUA - Undressed eye palette - £4 (I think)
As you can tell from the picture it is quite messy which means I have been using this a lot. The colours in it are gorgeous and great for just everyday. The quality of them is really good. If you don't like neutrals that much they also had very bright palettes. From seeing you tube videos the colours are very similar to the urban decay naked palette.

Soap&Glory - Hand Food - £2.50

The last thing on my favourites list is the soap&glory hand food. I love this so much. It smells great and isn't sticky after like a lot of hand creams. I only have the small bottle but when it runs out I will definitely be buying the full size bottle.

So that's everything! Hope you've enjoyed and had a lovely May!

Nail art Tutorial - Watermelon

Hi everybody, seeing as the weather was so nice yesterday I thought I would do some summery watermelon nails.
Because the weather was so nice yesterday I decided to do this outside so ignore the suntan lotion bottle and the clear nail varnish.

1. Paint your nails pink
2. Using a nail striper or nail art pen paint the top of your nail
3. Lastly paint lots of random black dots

Hope you enjoyed this and have a go!
